Bellevue Arts Museum Biennial, 2016.
The Rabbit Hole is a body of work built around my experience of vision loss due to retinal detachments. Retinas can become detached (float off from the back of the eyeball) as a result of trauma, disease or, in my case, simply aging. As is often the case in life, one thing can lead to another; my trip down the rabbit hole began with a minor tear and retinal detachment in one eye and a major one in the other, resulting in multiple surgeries to repair retinas, corneas and glaucoma. Learn more about retinal detachment. For detailed information about the work click below. Here's my Exhibition Statement.
