Buttons

These pin/pendants, earrings and rings began as samples for my Zengineering/ Imaginative Captures workshop, which helps students open new doors into integrating found objects, gemstones and artifacts into their work. The 1 7/8"  plastic buttons begin with two holes--access points that offer a place of attachment. Some of the holes are carved much larger as in the case of the Lotus pieces. I added bales to the pins so that they can also be worn as pendants. All the buttons are a single color: white lines are carved in and painted.  I like the backs as much as the fronts and each is as unique as a fingerprint.
